We face this new year with optimism and a positive feeling that we can only go from strength to strength! Things at last seem to be going in the right direction. Although the 'drains' problem has still to be resolved, merely to have embarked on our 'plan of action' has eradicated our initial panic about it, and with the help of one of our supporters we hope soon to be well on the way to getting it sorted.
If you live locally, please do visit Monk's Bridge Farm Pub/Restaurant at Dinnington, not only for a warm welcome and an excellent meal, but also to help Thornberry. This exciting venture is in its 2nd year. Cloverleaf Pubs are donating 50p to us for every children's meal served, and they have already donated thousands of pounds to us. In their wonderful, innovative Children's Play Area, there are interactive games featuring our animals. Children and adults can be entertained, whilst eating, by the antics of our animals on a big screen linked to the sanctuary by webcam.
This year the pony rides are to be on Saturdays and they begin the first weekend in April.
Have you had a post-Christmas clear out? If so, why not sell your unwanted items on eBay to raise money for Thornberry? You can find us on the Charities Page at eBay, or bring the item you wish to sell and we will list it ourselves.
If you had a new mobile phone for Christmas, we'd be glad to have your old one to recycle. With FoneAid, we are given £3 for each mobile and also Argos vouchers.
The staff and the Trustees can't thank you enough for getting us this far! With your continued help we can make 2008 another great year for Thornberry!
Let's go for it!

Thornberry is a medium sized animal sanctuary that operates a NO-KILL policy.
This means that we do not put any animal to sleep unless it is cruel, due to medical
reasons, not to do so. Animals that are turned away elsewhere often find a home
at Thornberry......

There are so many ways in which people can get involved with our work, for example
you could become a Thornberry fund raiser or take on a more involved role by working
closely with the animals, like cleaning out the pens or stables, walking the dogs......

Thornberry
is open to the public between the hours of 11.00am and 3.00pm, and callers are
always welcome to come and have a look around. We now have lots to see, including
Dogs, Cats, Goats, Pigs, Horses and even some polecats. We now have a café
for visitors to have a little snack and an old barn full of bric-a-brac.
The Sanctuary is situated on the B6463 east of the A57 between Todwick and Dinnington......
