Latest News and Upcoming EventsAnnual Fun Dog Show Sunday 5th September 2010 Thornberry is holding its annual fun Dog Show on Sunday September 5th. We start taking entries from 12 noon and the fun starts about 1pm. It doesn't matter whether your dog is from Thornberry, the show is for everyone who loves dogs. There will be all the usual classes including Best 6 legs and Fancy Dress and as usual, we finish with our crazy sausage Race. Its always fun, so make a date in your diary and come along and enjoy showing everyone how much you love your dog. August Bank Holiday Gala Saturday 28th August 2010 Thornberry will be colourful and chaotic for the whole Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 28th, Sunday 29th and Monday 30th. We are holding our Gala and there will be face-painting, cakes, raffle, tombola, games, a bouncy castle, music and lots more. Whatever your plans are for that weekend, make sure Thornberry is included because there will be plenty to do and enjoy for the whole family. All the fun runs from 11am till 3pm each day. We look forward to seeing you. Woofstock Sunday 15th August 2010 Benefit gig for Thornberry to be held at the legendary Boardwalk in Sheffield from 4pm. There will be lots of good live music from the best unsigned bands around with the headline act to be announced shortly. If you are 14 years and over and you like good music, then this is definately for you. Admission is £5 and every penny goes to care for our animals. Medieval Reenactment Day Sunday 8th August 2010 Sunday August 8th sees Thornberry invaded by knights and camp-followers of La Garde Ecossaise du Roi. There will be hand-to-hand combat, weapon demonstrations, medieval camps to explore and lots more to experience and learn. Come down and take part in living history. The Sanctuary will be in an exciting time warp. Entrance costs £2 for adults and 50p for kids. |
